A session length can vary, according to your needs. The length of typical sessions are either 45 minutes, 60 minutes, 75 minutes, or 90 minutes. We will tailor your treatment to get the best possible outcome in the shortest number of sessions.

Payment is due at the time of each appointment.

Cancellation policy: A full 24 hours notice is required to cancel an appointment, otherwise the entire fee will be charged. This is standard practice. The appointment time is reserved for each client; without a day’s notice, it’s unlikely that another client wanting a session could be scheduled.

Regarding Health Insurance:
If you wish to use health insurance, please call on your own to learn if “out-patient psychotherapy” is covered. Even if it is, often the insurer will restrict which therapists you may see, and in which type of clinical setting. Here’s what you’ll need to ask:

Does your policy cover psychotherapy with a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or a Limited License Psychologist (LLP) supervised by a Ph.D. psychologist? I am a Masters level therapist with both of these licenses.

Do mental health benefits apply if the therapist is working independently, and isn’t affiliated with a mental health clinic?

If insurance does cover my services, you’ll want to find out: What percentage does insurance pay on each session? Is there a maximum number of visits allowed each year? Is there an annual maximum dollar amount insurance will pay? Is there an out-of-pocket deductible you must pay first? How much is it? Will the insurance company reimburse you, since you will be paying the therapist directly on the day of each visit? How and where should your claims be submitted? (I will provide a monthly statement of sessions, with appropriate diagnosis and session codes.)

I provide a safe, objective space where you can learn practical skills to deepen your relationships, improve your quality of life and bring hope to your years ahead.
